Erwachsen sein

What remains of who we are when life teaches us to simply keep functioning? On “Erwachsen sein” (“Being an Adult”), Paralyzed Storm brings together four German-language alternative rock tracks exploring lost lightheartedness, true friendship, inner struggles, and a future caught between humanity and machines. The title track questions an adulthood in which imagination and instinct gradually give way to pressure and other people’s expectations. “Das ist für Euch” celebrates the people who matter most—the closest friends who stand by your side through good times and bad. In a special Live Atmosphere Version, “Blinde Wut” confronts the anger within and the search for a way out. Closing the EP, “K.I.” gives artificial intelligence a voice of its own: biting, provocative, and offering a dark perspective on progress and control. Moving between reflective moments and powerful choruses, “Erwachsen sein” explores the struggle to hold on to yourself in a world full of demands—and the things that keep us grounded.
