Forgotten Fields

Two voices bringing vulnerability and strength together: On “Forgotten Fields,” Paralyzed Storm places its collaboration with Faye Ashborn at the heart of the EP. Her warm, expressive tone meets David Norwind’s distinctive voice and the band’s alternative rock sound. Moving between intimate solo moments and shared vocal passages, they tell stories of people who go unseen, the darkness hidden within, and a closeness that words can barely capture. The title track gives lost and forgotten children a voice—and expresses the hope of reclaiming their strength despite exclusion and a stolen childhood. “The House We’re In” enters the darker rooms of the mind, where dangerous impulses meet the longing to feel alive. “Frequency” turns toward a connection that runs deeper than attraction: two people finding the same wavelength, supporting each other, and growing stronger together. The Retro Synthwave Version of “Forgotten Fields” adds an electronic perspective to the title track with more input from Faye. The collaboration with Faye Ashborn shapes the emotional core of this EP. Her voice and David’s bring distinct perspectives to these stories, finding each other again and again through defiance, inner turmoil, and the feeling of finally finding a home in another person.
